What does gender non-conforming mean?

(adj.) Gender non-conforming refers to individuals who do not adhere to traditional gender norms for apperance or behavior for their sex assigned at birth. These individuals may or may not identify as transgender, and people of all sexual orientations may be gender non-conforming.
