What is an abortion?

Abortion is the process of ending a pregnancy. It can be both unintentionally (miscarriage) or intentionally (induced abortion). Induced abortion is for ending of an unwanted pregnancy which could be for personal or medical reasons. There are 2 types of induced abortion medical and surgical. Medical abortion can only be opted for at the early stage of a pragnancy. It is a combination of medication that ends pregnancy and causes the utrerus lining to shed. Surgical abortion is when a doctor uses suction to surgically end the pregnancy before the fetus matures.
