(noun/verb) To support or advocate for marginalized individuals, or to be an individual who supports or advocates for marginalized individuals. For example, an LGBTQIA+ ally is a cisgender/heterosexual person who accepts, supports, and celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, advocating for equal rights and understanding. Allies provide a non-judgmental space and work to educate themselves and others about LGBTQIA+ issues.
